How blessed are some people, whose lives have no fears, no dreads; to whom sleep is a blessing that comes nightly, and brings nothing but sweet dreams." —Bram Stoker
Keiko was slightly surprised when she heard the male’s voice, immediately having trouble understanding him at first; the Korean language was not her forte. Managing to piece it up, she opened her mouth to reply, but found nothing would emerge. She was normally a shy individual, and without her various personas, the fear would only grow as she made attempts. Adapting to her new traits was an easy task – like taking on a new role as an actor, which Keiko was used to by now. “I’m curious?” Her lips twitched upwards, revealing a small smile in its wake; this reminded her of Alice through the looking glass – which coincidentally was one of her favourite titles. When he leaned forward, she took a step back; this man was saying odd things. Her shadow? It made her quite anxious if she being honest. Anxious enough to step out of character for a few seconds, before finally forcing the cheerful persona back into play.
Her accented reply made him let his gaze flicker over her features, studying them and wondering which country she hailed from. The pause before she had spoken increased the speculations her native language was not Korean. That, and he just had a hunch. His hunches were usually right, albeit infuriating to some people. “Mmh”, he hummed out, nodding his head firmly once, before straightening when she shied back. “D'you speak English?” he asked her, words shaping into a mixed accent of a Korean Londoner. "Parlez-vous français? Española?“ he questioned further, trying to find a language she might be more attuned towards. Perhaps she did not wish to speak to him at all, but Taemin was curious in his own ways—both in the ways of a verb and an adjective.
