Taemin let out a small breath, shifting on his foot as he took another glance around. It was clearly too dark to see anything else around him except for that single lamp on the sidewalk, and a few way in the distance. He suddenly didn’t feel as nervous anymore, but he wasn’t quite sure why. “I suppose not. It was the quickest way home..” He nodded his head a few times, then took a few steps closer towards the male. It was almost intriguing, his features and the way he spoke. Taemin could tell there was something different about him but he couldn’t put his finger on it yet. “I was. I apologize, I just wasn’t expecting a stranger to.. I don’t know, you seem odd. No offence.” He chuckled dryly, not intending to sound as offensive as he did. “Can I get your name? I’m Taemin..”
“I’ll have to take your word for it”, he said, since he did not know where the boy might live. Despite turning up in the middle of a dark street the way he had, he had not been stalking anybody—perhaps you could say it was simply his way of being, sometimes. And he liked surprising people. The changes of their expressions, the quickening of their heartbeats when they were startled—it was interesting. Like a game, perfectly suited for him. And for a man with all the time in the world, why not play? “Odd to you, mayhap”, he said to the other’s words as he came closer, making the streetlight illuminate his features into different angles; sharper angles, with tricks of light. “But no offence taken”, he added, a rough grin briefly there, before it turned pensive. “Um… I was born Taemin, but maybe for the sake of less confusion, you could call me Francesco”, he told him. “It’s what they called me where I lived before.”
