Dressed in a long dark grey gown that draped across her small frame in a way that made the loose material fitted at the top and flowed at the bottom, she had taken the time yet to disguise herself. Dragging the short train of her dress behind, she slowly made her way towards the young man; her eyes were a bright silver just from the thought of finally being here on earth and free from captivity; for the time being at least. She knew her victory was short lived and that soon her absence would be noticed even though she took precautions to not be found. Stopping behind him, she took in his tall lean frame and felt the dark presence that lurked around him, but she wasn’t bothered in the slightest. Lifting a hand, her skin so pale it could have been mistaken for porcelain, she ran it through her platinum locks and waited for him to acknowledge her. She knew he had sensed her presence the moment she had arrived.
It had been as a whisper upon his skin, the first tellings of her presence. A mere whisper so slight most would not have noticed. Some would call it madness, the way his mind worked. By right, perhaps it was. Perhaps it was all in his head, and every right answer he ought not have known—perhaps they were mere coincidences. A spell of luck, as common as breathing. Whatever it might have been, she was right. He knew she was there, yet with his breath caught in his throat he barely dared to turn. How often had he not thought of this moment. How often had he not dreamt of this moment? For someone having lived as long as he had, with more than enough time to dream and think, it was enough to make him fear what he thought himself know was not true—that he would turn around and face nothing. But even that terror did not keep him from turning, for curiosity ran deep in his veins with the desire to see her. See the Lady. He turned his head, enough so that he could catch a glimpse of beauty in the corner of his vision, before daring to turn, with slow, quiet steps. His own pale eyes fell upon her, flickered over the ethereally beauteous features, the skin and hair so fair. “Lady…”
